PROFILES:

We have all of the most common patterns in the Texas market plus many, many more custom profiles. We create approximately 30 new profiles per month.

We can make custom knives from a sample or a dimensioned drawing for virtually any profile. One piece moulding can be as wide as 8-3/4 inch. Wider profiles can be made of multiple pieces tongue & grooved to be fitted together at the job site. Pricing for custom knives is based on per inch of knife steel needed; i.e. a 3-5/8 inch profile requires 4 inches of steel.

MOULDING PROFILE TEMPLATES

Through the use of our in-house CAD department and CNC routing capability we produce "profile" and "check" templates. These templates are used by our customers to assure the accuracy of the mouldings they receive. Typically, a set of templates is provided for all profiles carried by the customer.

Our customers also use their templates in a variety of ways such as:

- A sales tool for salesmen.

- Insure Accuracy. Templates are also sent to US and foreign manufacturers of finger joint mouldings to insure accuracy of mouldings and prevent scant or incorrect profiles prior to arrival at your dock.

The price of a template pays for itself many times over if it prevents 1 container of mouldings from being rejected!

How do I get started on a Template program? Very simple.

Provide one of the following:

1) A CAD drawing file for each profile, if available.

- OR -

2) A Sample piece of moulding ( approximately 4 inches in length ) from which we will create a CAD drawing and CNC program for the template.

Each template is engraved with your company name or initials and the profile number/description. See examples below. We also try to use a color similar to your company colors, if available.

MATERIAL:

CMM stocks a wide variety of kiln-dried hardwood lumber. Among the most popular are White Pine, Poplar, Soft Maple, Hard Maple, Walnut, Red Oak, White Oak, Mahogany, Cypress, Birch, Basswood, White Ash, Brown Ash, and Cherry. We can acquire most any type of hardwood desired, on special order.

We have no minimum footage although a setup charge will be applied to orders under 500 feet.

LEAD TIME:

For the typical hardwood order ( under 10,000) we can deliver to you in 5 days. For larger orders ( over 10,000 feet) it will take longer. Lead time can also be impacted by availability of species and or widths required.

SPECIALTY ITEMS and SERVICES:

We can take care of your Radius Moulding needs. These items have a minimum 4 week lead time. We manufacture rosettes and base blocks in-house out of any specie of lumber listed above. They can be made to your specifications.
